THE MERGER OF TWO GIANTS AND THE BORN OF TITANIUM

GPL – Global Port Investments ( main port operator in Eastern Europe) and NCC – National Container Company ( Russian port operator that controls 80% of the container terminal at Ust Luga) have completed their merger transaction by grand total of 1.6 billion dollars.

The merging between the two Russian port operators create a giant port that works on 9 terminals with a total capacity of 4 million TEUs per year in the Baltic Sea ( ports of: Saint Petersburg, Ust Luga and some Finnish terminal ) and in the Vostochnaya’s zone.

The merger between GPL and NCC will allow both to develop their full power improving the efficiency of the terminal with synergies management and improving considerably the amount of TEUs handled per year.
