THE NEW PORT COMMUNITY SYSTEM IN SAVONA

The Port Community System of the Port Authority was presented at the beginning of February 2016 at the headquarters of the Industrial Union of Savona.

Thanks to the integration of its new web portal of AIDA (IT System of the Customs Agency) and PMIS system (used by the General Command of the Port and Terminal TOS) a rapid movement of goods, which responds to the formalities required and necessary to the control of goods, is more likely to take place.

On one hand, this portal permits the elimination of paper documents, the trasparency of the administrative processes and the use of existing

data on other computer system.

During 2016 will be implemented new digital services such as the management of access permits to the port and services related to statistical analysis releated to port traffic and employment of the port.

The Savona PCS project will keep improving to meet regulatory and operational requirements, as it already happens in the northern European ports.
