THE FIVE ADRIATIC PORTS ON SILK WAY

The Italian Adriatic ports challenge with ports of Instanbul, Pireo, Rotterdam and Anversa to become the new commercial hub between China and Europe.

This project (estimated cost Euro 2,2 million) designed by NAPA (North Adriatic Port Association) aims to build: on one hand a multimodal platform

around 8 miles off the port of Malamocco - Venice - (where the depths Deep are about 20 meters) to allow the docking of large cargo vessel. On the other hand it aims to build five separate terminal, on the mainland:three in Italy (Marghera, Ravenna, Trieste) one in Slovenia (Koper) and one in Croatia (Rijeka).

This new way will become a new fastest sea - connection between Europe and Far East saving 8 days of trantis time compared to the routing Shanghai - -Hamburg.
