Russia is pursuing a policy of general development to boost the economy of the country on various fronts due to different growth projects. Concerning food one of the most important projects is certainly represented by the inauguration of the first plant slaughter of beef in Orenburg own by the Orenbeef company,  part of the Cremonini Group and built in partnership with the companies of Cascade International Holding and Tecnostar Two.

Made in Italy products are charecterized by high quality and uniqueness. They are evaluated among the most asked for goods in the world export market.

In 2015 is expected an export volume equal to 15 billion euro with an increase of 1,6% compared to 2014.

The Suez canal authority has decided to begin the expansion's works of the Suez canal after the growth of the world maritime trade. The project which has a 1,5 billion dollars price envisage on one hand the expansion of the Canal through 17 aspirating dredges for drainage activities allowing to improve the depth of the Canal up to 24 meters, on the other hand it envisages the construction of a second Canal parallel to the existing one that would extend to almost 50 km.

The world of maritime export and trade is always developing. Although European countries are losing interest in Greece, China has decides to make it its new goal. Already in 2010 , The Shipping company China Cosco had invested in the development of the commercial port of Athens , ( The Piraeus ) , investing € 700 million in reconstruction  and the modernization of the new pier obtaining the permission for the management of two container terminal for the next 30 years.

December 22nd , 2014 officially started the construction of the Nicaragua Canal. The start construction ceremony of this huge project (estimated cost over 50 billion dollars and record dimensions: 278km long and 500m wide approx.) has been welcomed by several controversies, in addition to causing protests by anti-canal demonstrators and the indigenous of the ethnic groups "ramas" and "Nahua" against the great inconvenience that the construction of the might cause to the native population and agriculture of the country.

The Russian embargo concerning European food products is causing several problems and a European and Italian export decrease.

Italy, which until recently was among the first countries exporting olive oil to Russia, might be replaced by Tunisia which, thanks to a series of agreements undertaken with Russia, would be appointed as the main exporter of olive oil to the latter.

Soon it will be carried out an implementation of the new Europe guidelines about the “ Sulphur Emission Control Area (SECA)”. This will envisage two phases:

1. From 2015 the ships that will be sailing in the Baltic Sea and in the North Sea will be obliged to have a percentage of sulfur in the bunker that won’t exceed 0,5% per milliliter;
2. From 2020 the percentage of sulfur is due to decrease to 0,1% per milliliter

Taking into consideration that the ships sailing in the Baltic see and in the North Sea have an average sulfur percentage of 2,7% per milliliter, this drastic reduction is going to represent a big issue for shipowners both from the technological point of view and the bureaucratic and economic point of view.

In December 2014 works for the construction of the new inter-oceanic canal in Nicaragua could start, a work which costs about $ 40 billion and which is going to be completed within 5 years or so.

Officially, the new channel will be 278 km long with a maximum width of 500 meters, which will start from the town of Brito (in the Pacific Ocean) to flow into the Caribbean at Punta Gorda via Lake Nicaragua.

The Australian wine industry is made up of almost 1465 wineries situated mainly in the South-Est: Victoria, South Australia and New south Wales (that alone cover for 96.5% of the total wine production).

The shipping sector might register a new agreement of “vessel sharing agreement” that would see CMA CGM as a key player, which after the “no” of the Chinese Authorities concerning its entrance in the “P3” Alliance, might create a new alliance with the UASC (United Arab Shipping Company) company and the Chinese CSCL (China Shipping Container Line).
